A poll published January 5 by Shvakim Panorama and commissioned by Avigdor Liberman’s nationalist formation Yisrael Beiteinu grants them 8 seats, 2 more than in 2015. Of the polls published so far this is the one that gives them more seats. The poll gives four seats to Gesher, the more moderate political party formed by MP Orly Levy after her departure from Yisrael Beiteinu in march. According to the poll Liberman’s party will be the sixth political force in the Knesset, ahead of the new nationalist formation The New Right founded by former Jewish Home leaders Nafatali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked. Yisrael Beiteinu’s departure from the Netanyahu-led government coalition last November 14 was one of the triggers of the early elections called more than a month later.
